A Season of Gratitude: Celebrating Year One and the Makers Who Made It Possible

There's a moment in every small business journey when you pause and think, this is really happening. For us at Wasatch Gift, that moment came again and again this holiday season, every time a gift went out the door, every time a customer told us how delighted they were, every time one of our incredible Utah makers went above and beyond to help us deliver joy.

Our first holiday season is in the books, and we are brimming with gratitude.

When "Sold Out" Became "Back in Stock"

Here's something they don't tell you about curating artisan gifts: when you work with small-batch makers, there's no warehouse full of backup inventory. When something sells out, it's truly gone…unless you have the kind of vendor partners who roll up their sleeves and make magic happen.

This season, we learned just how lucky we are.

Creekside Mallow Co. came through with express shipping on a rush order, getting our beloved marshmallows back in stock in a matter of days. Because no hot cocoa moment should go without them.

Cocoa Metro faced their own supply challenges during what is surely their most demanding time of year, yet they set aside our quantity and served us directly from their warehouse so we could make on-time holiday deliveries. That's partnership.

The Spirit Goat was deep in serving their own retail customers at their beautiful Logan storefront (which I had the joy of experiencing firsthand when I drove up to collect our order). They paused their busy day to handmake a rush batch of their stunning holiday soaps when we sold out. The care they put into every bar? You can see it. You can smell it. And now, so can our customers.

Bees Brothers turned around their handmade caramels in a matter of hours. Not once, not twice, but again and again throughout the season. When you taste one of their caramels, you taste patience and craft. But when it came to helping us? They were anything but slow.

Both of our talented mug makers accommodated last-minute additions to their orders when large gift box requests came in. That flexibility made all the difference for our customers placing corporate orders.

Lococo delivered to my doorstep late into the night so I could keep building boxes. That kind of dedication doesn't go unnoticed, it goes straight into the heart of what we do.

Park City Granola knows that great things can't be rushed. Their craft takes time. But they made sure to get us their delicious granola and nuts as fast as they could, with a local hand delivery that felt like a gift in itself.

Dipped by Deb worked through the weekend during the busy lead up to Thanksgiving to create handmade treats for a local event. That's the kind of commitment that makes small businesses extraordinary.

And finally, Tantalus Brew, our newest vendor partner, raced up from the valley with a same-day hand delivery. We cannot wait for our customers to discover what they're making. Welcome to the Wasatch Gift family.

What This Season Taught Us

When we started Wasatch Gift, we believed that Utah's artisan community was something special, something worth celebrating and sharing. This holiday season proved it beyond any doubt.

Every maker who answered a last-minute call. Every small-batch producer who stayed up late. Every artisan who hand-delivered when shipping couldn't keep up. They reminded us that this isn't just about products in a box. It's about people supporting people. Small businesses lifting each other up. Community in action.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we turn the page to a new year, we're dreaming big. We'll be discovering new Utah makers whose stories deserve to be told. We'll be deepening our relationships with the incredible vendors who've been with us from the start. We'll be finding new ways to share the craft, the care, and the community that makes this state so special.

Because that's what Wasatch Gift is about: small businesses supporting each other, artisans sharing their gifts, and customers who choose to make their gifting meaningful.

Thank You

To every customer who took a chance on us in year one: thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your birthdays, your welcome baskets, your corporate gifts, your holiday surprises. Thank you for believing that where a gift comes from, and who made it, matters.

We are ever so grateful.

Here's to a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. We can't wait to see what we create together in 2026.

From the Wasatch, with Love.
