Small-Town Roots, Big-Hearted Community

One of the best parts of building Wasatch Gift has been the chance to connect more deeply with the place I call home. Park City is known worldwide for its mountains, film festival, and ski culture, but at its core, it’s still very much a small town. That’s why being featured in the Park City Chamber of Commerce’s Small Town Stories series felt so special. It’s a rewarding spotlight on my business, and a reflection of the community that makes it all possible.

At Wasatch Gift, every basket begins with local makers. From hand-poured candles to small-batch chocolates, I get to partner with the kind of artisans who make this region so vibrant. Supporting them means more than sourcing beautiful products, it also means keeping dollars in our community, sharing our stories with visitors, and making gifts feel deeply personal.

Community has always been the throughline. I grew up in a family-owned store in a small Kentucky town, where my grandfather taught me that every customer interaction was a chance to create connection. Park City may look different on the surface, but the heartbeat is the same. People value relationships, authenticity, and the sense of belonging that comes when neighbors look out for each other.

That’s the same feeling I want every Wasatch Gift to carry. A basket can be a reminder of gratitude, care, and shared roots. Whether it’s a realtor thanking a client, a company celebrating a milestone, or a friend welcoming someone new to town, it’s all about strengthening ties that last.

Being recognized by the Chamber is a proud moment, but it’s also a reminder that Wasatch Gift is part of something bigger: a small town with a big heart.

From the Wasatch, with Love.
